We always need to consider existing plants, modifications and additions to gardens so we focus on capping the lawn’s irrigation and rebuilding drip systems to suit.  To make sure we protect the young tree, we defined the new garden area at the tree’s base with a new garden with a 6 foot diameter. Once we did the prep, we added our construction grade underlayment fabric, then spread a 3-4 inches of new road base, feathered it in and compacted it. We finished our edges with our well known natural rolled edge.
